At Roots of Resiliency, we believe healing is an all encompassing experience, requiring support for not just the mind, but also the body and the spirit. Incorporating both psychotherapy and aromatherapy into our unique approach, we are dedicated to meeting you where you are and honoring the many paths resilience can take.
Aromatherapy creates opportunities for calm and connection; easing anxiety, reducing overwhelm, and helping us return to moments of peace and clarity. When paired with therapy (and modalities such as EMDR and brainspotting), meditation, and everyday self-care, it serves as a powerful path to healing, reconnection with ourselves and nature, and crafting a life of serenity and strength.
Roots of Resiliency was built with the intention of creating an accepting, safe space where you can show up authentically, while being seen, heard, validated, and supported along your journey to healing. All parts of you are welcome here!
PSYCHOTHERAPY
No two people are the same, and we approach psychotherapy with that very much in mind. We pull from a wide range of modalities (EMDR, brainspotting, and PIT (postinduction trauma therapy) as well as psychoeducation and coping tools) to make sure that every individual has the unique support and resources that best fit their needs.
AROMATHERAPY
Our sense of smell is directly connected to the parts of the brain and body that manage emotions, memory, stress, pain, and inflammation. A single scent has the ability to greatly impact our mood, state of mind, and overall wellbeing. Aromatherapy taps into that connection, using essential oils (natural plant extracts) to support the body, spirit and mind.

Meet Rachel

Hi, I’m Rachel! Growing up, I always wanted to help others and dreamt of being a doctor or forensic psychologist solving crimes, saving people and their families. My own traumatic upbringing inspired me to channel that love of helping others into a career in mental health. I threw myself into learning everything I could about how to support my clients - through psychology, aromatherapy, and any other tools I could find. When I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, I learned how truly powerful aromatherapy could be. Not only did it provide me with emotional support, but it also helped me navigate and overcome my symptoms, like loss of sight and chronic pain. I founded Roots of Resilience to continue to pursue my passion of supporting people like me, who are looking to heal their mind, body, and spirit from trauma and pain. It is an honor to walk alongside you in your healing journey!
